Three minutes of song, that's it.

You turn on the radio and it starts to sound a song that you have never heard. Somehow something that you cannot explain wake up inside you, it is like a sensation that says that this song hace been written and composed only for you, just for that moment that you are living. You close your eyes, let the music get in you.
And it ends, just like ends everything. Three minutes of song, that's it. Now you only can repeat it again, and again, and again; just to try to repeat that experience that you have lived.

Something like that have happened to me with these posts, my song has just ended and I want to repeat it once more. It is like the time wanted to run away and I tried to stop it but I could not.
I just hope that in this career that we have run together, we have achieve the goal of remember every song that has been important in music in the USA's history (from the past to the currents ones).
We have known the 27 Club , we have hug our dear Freddie ; because music is for you  and for everyone, because we know that we are living the XXI century and its chances  . Because "music gives life to everything"  although a song only lasts three minutes, that's it.
Finally, I really hope that I had make you sing and dance, which is just another way of smiling.

The best way to explain this is with songs, which is what this is all about. Just like Scorpions say maybe The best is yet to come because music will exist 'Til the end of time.

Music for you.

The presence of social media is something obvious nowadays in every topic.
Whatever you may want to do, you will have to use social media to get known and, somehow, get what you expect from that thing.
However, how powerful can be social media in music?
I will explain you an example made with one of the most famous Djs all over the world: Avicii.

Universal Music made an experiment which was called Avicii x You to show how greatly powerful could be social media. The online music community were asked to collaborate with Avicii by uploading their own musical contributions in five sessions over five weeks in order to create the next Avicii's single and doing what was world’s largest music collaboration.

By the end of the project, a total number of 4,199 producers from 140 countries contributed with 12 850 sounds. The campaign was featured by worldwide media - online, offline and radio. It was mentioned over 20,000 times on Twitter with #aviciixyou and earned 3,3 million views on YouTube – with a total media reach of over 100 million and counting.

After this, do you still doubting of social media's power? If I were you, I would not.

Dear Freddie.

"I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva"

-Q.

I don't know if you know about who I am talking about when I say "they call me Mister Fahrenheit".
You would probably start singing aloud the lyrics I have written above, and all along this post you will be humming it one time, and again, and again, and again...
Have you ever want to break free ? Or find somebody to love ?

Freddie Mercury wanted to.
There is too many information about his life which you probably know as, for instance, that he is the Queen's singer or he died because of AIDS. But here are 5 things you probably do not know about him.

  1. Although he was the king of the stages all around the world, he was so shy.

  1. He loved cats. He had 10 cats at the same time. Besides, he composed a song dedicated to one of them called Mr.Bad Guy.
  2. He and his manager confirmed to the world that he had AIDS the day before he died.
  3. One of Queen's songs and which was composed by him, Another one bites the dust,  was not going to be realized but Michael Jackson convinced him to do it.
  4. He referreferred to Queen as "the bitchiest band on earth."
  5. He once dressed Princess Diana as a man and took her clubbing. Nobody recognized her.

He once said that he "won't be a rock star. He will be a legend". And he demonstrated it every time he was on the stage.
I only have one more thing to say: Dear Freddie, who is now going to rock me now  ?

XXI century and its chances.

Music is in many places. Considering the importance of social networks and websites, maybe that is why music can reach more people in record time nowadays.
A few years ago, when there was no internet, everything was more complicated.  For instance, we could observe the case of Rodriguez, known because of the awarded movie Searching for Sugar Man.
The movie tells the story of this man (called Sixto Rodriguez) who tried to live in the complicated music world in the 60's. He recorded an album which had not any success in the States but, his work was better received in  South Africa where he became a mass idol. He did not know it and gave up.
Years after he was discovered thanks to a investigation which was done by Stephen Segerman y Craig Strydom.

Internet is also a good tool used by many people to reach audiences that, in other way, they couldn't.
One representative example of this is the case of Justin Bieber who got famous thanks to Youtube. Now he has 55,3 M of followers on Twitter  , 1.092.274.627 visits on Youtube, etc.

There are a lot of websites where you can search the songs that have been with you all your life like
Spotify or sites where unknown artists upload their covers or original songs such as Soundcloud.
Here is an example of a cover made by Hilman Mustafa of Demons.

Furthermore, there are websites that give the latest news in music like, for example MTV which is also a TV channel or the most important magazine in music's world: Rolling Stone .

After this, do you still doubting that you do not have the chance in music's world?

Forever 27 Club

Musicians usually included in the 27 Club (Source: Beersting )

There are a lot of mysteries which are part of the complicated music world, and one of those is the 27 Club. What is it? Let me explain you.
I am sure that at least one time in your life you have listened Smells Like Teen Spirit and heard about the Kurt Cobain's sad suicide by gunshot, or Rehab by Amy Winehouse and her alcohol addiction.
Well, both of them are part of this famous group called the "27 Club". But, when did this group start and why?

Although artists like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin also died at 27 it was not until the death of Kurt Cobain when his mother sentenced in an interview in The Daily World: "Now he’s gone and joined that stupid club. I told him not to join that stupid club.” (Source: Wikipedia ) when the people began to call this group of musicians "27 Club". Some experts as Charles R. Cross say that "The number of musicians who died at 27 is truly remarkable by any standard. [Although] humans die regularly at all ages, there is a statistical spike for musicians who die at 27"(source: Wikipedia)
Here appears again the mystery of the great world of music, why at age 27?

The next question is: Who belongs to this curious group?
There are many artists who belongs to this group and there are many reasons why these artists died, there is only  one common factor: they all died at 27.
Some of them are:

The mystery remains unsolved, in fact only raises more questions, one of them is: Who will be next?

"Music gives life to everything"

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination
and life to everything.”
-Plato

For many people, music gives a sense to their lives, it is what keeps them living. I bet that you link the best times in your life to a song and every time you hear it, it is like you were there again, living it, living the time of your life.

Music is the soundtrack of our lives, it accompanies each experience, there will always exist a song which expresses what are you feeling.
Is in the USA where the most important songs have born and they have become our friends when everything is going bad, a shoulder where we can cry, and it is when we are cry in' or laughing out loud with music playing, when everything turns to be alright.

If you talk to someone and ask him what the music is, you will get as response a lot of things such as "it is a way to manage our feelings" or "it is the opportunity that gives a song to turn off the world". Some will remember a certain moment like an stadium full of people or the way his/her mum dances her favorite song.

Queen - We Are the Champions (Live Aid, Wembley Stadium, 1985) (Source: Youtube)

And that's why I think that music gives you something that nothing else could give. Because music is not only playing some instruments and sing, music is turn that musical note and that voice to a feeling and show the way we see the world.
I think I have only one more thing to say: Please, "don't stop the music", show must go on.

"I wanna take you away
lets escape into the music
Keep on rockin to it
Please don't stop the music"
-Rihanna
